Job summary

QPS Employment Group is seeking a CNC Operator in Glendale, MO to set up and run Mazak CNC lathes and milling equipment. You will read blueprints, interpret drawings, and verify dimensions with appropriate gauges. Shifts are 1st and 2nd with hours 6:00am-2:30pm and 3:30pm-12:00am, Monday through Friday.

Wages range $20.00-$27.00 per hour, based on experience and skill. The role requires basic programming edits in G-code, Mazatrol control operation, and maintaining quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience operating Mazak CNC machines with Mazatrol controls is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and machining drawings.
• Working knowledge of G-code programming and making basic program edits.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Mazak machines, including lathes and milling equipment.
• Set up and operate CNC equipment according to production specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and machining specifications.
• Read and understand G-code programs and make basic edits.
• Use Mazatrol controls to operate and adjust CNC machines.
• Make offsets and dimensional adjustments to maintain tolerances.
• Inspect finished parts with appropriate measuring equipment.
• Monitor machine operation to ensure quality and productivity.
• Perform tool changes and assist with machine setup.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow procedures.

CNC Operator

Wage: $20.00-$27.00/hour (Based on experience and skill level)

Shift: 1st, 2nd

Hours: 6:00am-2:30pm Monday-Friday, 3:30pm-12:00am Monday-Friday

Location: Glendale, MO

CNC Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Operate CNC Mazak machines, including CNC lathes and milling equipment
• Set up and operate CNC equipment according to production specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and machining specifications
• Read and understand G-code programs
• Make basic program edits and adjustments as needed
• Use Mazatrol controls to operate and make adjustments to CNC machines
• Make offsets and machine adjustments to maintain required dimensions and tolerances

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow established production, quality, and safety procedures

CNC Operator Requirements:

• Previous CNC machining or CNC operator experience required
• Experience operating Mazak CNC machines strongly preferred
• Experience with Mazatrol controls preferred
• Working knowledge of G-code programming required
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Ability to understand and adjust CNC programs
• Ability to make offsets and dimensional adjustments
• Basic understanding of CNC tooling, feeds, speeds, and machine operation
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts
• Must have enough foundational CNC knowledge to work independently with limited training
