Job description

Position Title: CNC Machinist



Wage: $31.00 - $33.00/hour



Shift: 1st



Hours: 6:00am - 2:00pm (Monday - Friday)

CNC Machinist Responsibilities:

- Program, set up, and operate Mazak Quick Turn Lathes

- Write and modify programs using GM Code and Mazatrol

- Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications

- Use CAD/CAM software for design and toolpath generation (SolidWorks preferred; Mastercam or Fusion 360 also considered)

- Perform part inspections to ensure quality standards, including the use of CMM (preferred)

- Work with hard materials, ensuring proper tooling and speeds/feeds

- Maintain a clean and safe work environment

- Troubleshoot and optimize machining processes for efficiency and precision



Requirements for CNC Machinist:

- Proven experience with Mazak Quick Turn Lathes

- Proficient in GM Code and Mazatrol programming

- Ability to write programs from scratch and make on-the-fly adjustments

- Strong setup and machining skills with minimal supervision

- Experience with CAD/CAM software (SolidWorks preferred; Mastercam or Fusion 360 acceptable)

- CMM experience is a plus

- Experience with hard machining is a plus

- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

- 3+ years of CNC machining experience preferred

- Experience in a high-precision manufacturing environment preferred
