Job summary

Skillforce in Sandston, Virginia is hiring carpenters for ongoing project work. You will frame walls and floors, install interior doors and windows, and complete finish carpentry on both residential and commercial sites.

Monday through Friday on a standard morning shift with weekly pay and steady projects in the area. Qualified candidates have hands-on carpentry experience, own tools, and can read plans, measure accurately, and work safely.

Qualifications

• Hands-on carpentry experience on residential or commercial projects.
• Able to read a tape measure, measure and cut accurately.
• Own carpentry tools and PPE brought to every shift.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for a full shift.
• Authorized to work in the United States and pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Frame walls and floors on residential projects and install doors/windows.
• On commercial sites, frame interior walls, set studs, and install ceilings.
• Layout walls from plans or from the lead carpenter’s layout; measure and cut materials.
• Follow OSHA rules, maintain a clean work area, and use power/hand tools safely.
