Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of general carpentry experience with measuring, cutting, nailing, bolting, doweling, gluing, finishing materials, and using a variety of tools.
• Five years of specialized carpentry experience including modification and repair from work orders, sketches, or blueprints.
• Substitution: One year of high school may substitute for three months of general experience, up to a high school diploma or GED for one year of general experience.

Responsibilities

• Receives assignments from supervisor or work orders and performs with minimal supervision.
• Plans and lays out work using drawings, blueprints, or own knowledge; selects materials and installs structural and trim components.
• Installs roofing, window frames, doors, counters, cabinets, and related features with built‑in characteristics.
• Uses hand and power tools and ensures alignment and quality of workmanship.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
