Job summary

Cox Automotive’s Manheim Nevada location is seeking an Automotive Technician II to perform advanced diagnostics and repairs across a variety of vehicles. The role offers day shifts, competitive hourly pay, and a path to career stability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of vehicle service and repair experience.
• Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required.
• The ability to drive standard, automatic and electric vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance services (PMs), including oil changes, filter replacement, fluid checks, and inspections.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on gas and diesel vehicles.
• Conduct repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, and HVAC systems.
• Replace parts and components according to manufacturer specifications and shop standards.
• Perform light fabrication, welding, or modifications when needed.
• Use scan tools, diagnostic software, and testing equipment to identify vehicle faults.
• Accurately troubleshoot drivability issues, electrical problems, and intermittent concerns.
• Determine root causes of failures and recommend effective repair solutions.
• Escalate highly complex or unusual issues to senior technicians while assisting in diagnosis.

Skills

3+ years of vehicle service experience

Valid driver’s license

Ability to drive various vehicle types

Education

High school diploma or GED

ASE Certification: G1, A4, A5, A6, A7, A8
