Job summary

Manheim San Francisco, a Cox Automotive company, is hiring an Automotive Technician II to perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, maintenance and inspections across a variety of vehicles. This on-site role operates Monday–Friday, day shift, with a $1,500 tool bonus for new hires.

You will diagnose complex drivability issues, conduct thorough inspections, source parts, and support OEM recalls. A valid driver’s license and ASE certification are preferred, with growth opportunities across vehicle

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3 years of related work experience; or any degree above high school with 1 year related work; or 5 years w/o degree.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe record
• Ability to drive standard, automatic and electric vehicles
• ASE Certification preferred: G1, A4, A5, A6, A7, A8

Responsibilities

• Perform medium-duty maintenance and repairs across vehicle systems.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and drivability issues including brakes, tires, suspension.
• Conduct advanced diagnostics on starting/charging, AC, OBDII and electrical systems.
• Complete detailed inspections with measurements and document deficiencies across components.
• Maintain safety and environmental standards in handling recyclables, fluids, tires and waste.
• Assist with upfitting new vehicles with required equipment.
• Source parts through approved vendors and support OEM recall work as needed.

What You’ll Do

You’ll put your skills to work as a mid-level auto technician performing medium-duty work. You will:

• Performe highly skilled maintenance and repairs across a wide range of vehicle systems.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and drivability issues, including brakes, tires, suspension and related components.
• Conduct advanced diagnostics and repairs across key systems, including starting and charging, AC, OBDII and electrical systems.
• Complete detailed mechanical inspections, including required measurements, and document any deficiencies across interior, exterior, engine and driveline components.
• Maintain compliance with safety and environmental standards, including proper handling of recyclables, fluids, tires and waste.
• Assist with upfitting new vehicles with required equipment.
• Source and manage parts through approved vendors.
• Support additional service needs, including OEM recall work as required.
