Job summary

Manheim, a Cox Automotive company, is hiring an Automotive Technician II at our Manheim Nevada location. You will perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, maintenance and inspections across a variety of vehicles while benefiting from competitive pay and career stability.

New hires are eligible for a $1,500 tools bonus. You will use scan tools and diagnostic software to identify faults and ensure quality workmanship on gas, diesel, and electric vehicles.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of vehicle service and repair experience.
• Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required.
• Ability to drive standard, automatic and electric vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance services (PMs), including oil changes, filter replacement, fluid checks, and inspections.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on gas and diesel vehicles.
• Conduct repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, and HVAC systems.
• Replace parts and components according to manufacturer specifications and shop standards.
• Perform light fabrication, welding, or modifications when needed.
• Use scan tools, diagnostic software, and testing equipment to identify vehicle faults.
• Accurately troubleshoot drivability issues, electrical problems, and intermittent concerns.
• Determine root causes of failures and recommend effective repair solutions.
• Escalate highly complex or unusual issues to senior technicians while assisting in diagnosis.
