Job summary

Belcan Corporation is seeking an Assembler / Tester B in Moncks Corner, SC, for a 2nd shift (3PM-1:30AM) on a 3-6 month contract. The role involves assembling and testing components to meet customer schedules, with on-the-job training and potential cross-training.

Responsibilities include using hand and power tools, reading blueprints, recording results, and ensuring safety and quality in a lean manufacturing setting. Requires a HS diploma or GED and about 1 year of mechanical experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of general mechanical work experience preferred.
• May be required to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Demonstrate product and process knowledge by applying it to newly learned techniques.
• Able to select appropriate procedures, techniques, tools, and equipment.
• Possess effective interpersonal communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic assembly/test functions utilizing mechanical skills, hand and power tools, mechanical/electronic tools, test equipment and fixtures.
• Records test results on data forms using basic electrical equipment and flow meters.
• Interprets blueprints, engineering orders, assembly routes and quality directives.
• Produces and inspects assemblies that conform to product specification and standards.
• Participates in lean initiatives by identifying areas for improvement.
• Ensures safety and calibration schedule compliance; maintains a clean, safe workspace.
• May perform other related responsibilities.
