King Asphalt, Inc. is seeking an Asphalt Distributor Operator / Tack Truck Driver for our local operations in Rock Hill, SC.

This highly skilled position involves operating the Asphalt Distributor and Tack Truck, with responsibilities including equipment maintenance and precise application of tack or prime materials. Candidates must have a valid South Carolina CDL Class A or B with a tanker endorsement, a current DOT physical, and a minimum of two years of CDL driving experience.

Qualifications

• CDL driving experience required.
• Tanker endorsement required.
• Must have proof of current DOT physical.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to work days, nights, or weekends as needed.
• Able to complete all required paperwork efficiently.
• MVR checks and SC driver’s license validity required.
• Employer conducts drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• Oil, grease, service, and perform minor adjustments to equipment.
• Load and unload distributor.
• Apply tack or prime correctly.
• Understand paving industry specifics including grades, drainage, and patterns.
• Maintain equipment and perform minor servicing; refer major problems to supervisor.
• Assist with related duties such as shovel work, string line, and screed extensions.
