Job Overview
As a Program Cost Control Analyst (Level2/3/4) at Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector in Dulles, VA, you will support cost control and financial analysis for contract work, ensuring budgets, schedules, and cost allocations meet regulatory and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up cost control systems, monitor and control costs and schedules on contracts.
- Support audits and reviews requested by programs, customers, and company management.
- Perform fact‑finding and negotiation support.
- Prepare analysis and reports to ensure contracts adhere to negotiated parameters and government cost‑control guidelines.
- Execute Earned Value Management (EVM) tasks including WBS development, budget baseline, cost risk analysis, visibility reports, and estimate development.
- Maintain accurate expenditure records, prepare expenditure projections, and submit funding requests to the government.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 1+ year of professional experience. Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Experience with financial analysis or reporting.
- Experience with MS Office Suite.
- Active U.S. Government DoD Top‑Secret security clearance at the time of application, current within scope, with ability to obtain and maintain SCI approval/access.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance at time of application.
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Business Administration.
- Defense industry experience.
- Earned Value Management (EVM) experience.
- Program Cost Control experience.
- Experience with FAR/DFAR.
- Experience with Costpoint, Cobra, Primavera or SAP.
Compensation & Benefits
- Primary Level Salary Range: $75,800 – $113,800.
- Secondary Level Salary Range: $94,200 – $141,200.
- Eligibility for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus, and potential long‑term incentives for senior positions.
