Job summary

GHD seeks a DoD SkillBridge Intern to learn the role of Project Engineer/Project Manager in the Maritime & Coastal group on the East Coast. The role will be based in Miami, FL or Savannah, GA and involves coastal, waterfront, and municipal infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities include design support, project management, client interaction, and business development, with emphasis on collaboration, report writing, and cross-discipline coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Civil/Coastal Engineering from an accredited university; Master’s preferred.
• 5–8 years of engineering and project management experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer and/or PMP preferred.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
• Knowledge of modelling and design software as applicable.
• Demonstrated ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers and scientists on coastal/civil projects.
• Provide design support, project management, client management, and business development support.
• Interact with clients, suppliers and regulators to manage projects successfully.
• Coordinate with cross-discipline teams on other market sector projects.

GHD is seeking a DoD SkillBridge Intern to learn the role of Project Engineer/Project Manager to join our growing practice in our Maritime & Coastal (M&C) group on the East Coast. This position will be located in Miami, FL or Savannah, GA.

You will have the opportunity to work on projects such as coastal, waterfront, and municipal infrastructure improvement & resiliency projects. As a Project Engineer/Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to provide design support, project management, client management, and business development support.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in :

• Collaborate with fellow engineers and scientists on a wide range of coastal/civil engineering projects.
• Contribute to and manage development of technical reports, plans and specifications.
• Interact with clients, suppliers and regulators, and manage projects to successful completion.
• Coordinate and work with cross-discipline teams on other market sector projects.
• Contribute to coastal permitting and environmental documents, writing and data preparation for deliverables, collaborating closely with community, stakeholders and industry.
• Proactively coach, train and empower project team members
• Handle oversight and maintain project requirements for safety, quality, efficiency to ensure they are maintained throughout the duration of the project.
• Grow and lead existing and new client relationships.
• Support pursuit/proposal efforts, developing scope, schedule and budget.
• Get involved! Involve yourself in local committees, action groups and special interest organizations, with a view towards furthering your own skills and brand recognition for GHD.

What you will bring to the Team
