Job summary

Quest, Inc. in Tampa, FL is seeking a compassionate full-time Driver/Program Assistant to transport participants to training centers and community activities, while ensuring safety and well-being throughout the day.

You will administer prescribed medications, support skill development programs, assist with daily living activities, and help participants participate in meaningful day activities and community outings. A high school diploma and a valid FL driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 18 years of age or older required.
• Valid FL Driver’s License preferred.
• Read, write and comprehend English with the ability to remain calm and communicate during a crisis.

Responsibilities

• Drive large capacity vehicles to transport program participants to training center and community outings.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor self-administrations according to protocol.
• Facilitate skill development programs including instruction, assistance, prompting and documentation.
• Encourage participation in meaningful day activities and community inclusion trips.
• Ensure processes and timelines are met for paid vocational skill training and related tasks.
• Provide personal care and support, including activities of daily living.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and report hazards.
• Report to work during inclement weather to ensure supervision and care.
