Job summary

Chem-Aqua, the water treatment subsidiary of NCH Corporation, seeks a Welder to weld skids and stainless steel piping at our Macon, GA plant. The role includes TIG purging, CNC plasma cutting, and assembling pretreatment and chemical feed systems in a hands-on manufacturing setting.

The candidate will use MIG, TIG, and Stick welding, read engineering drawings, and work with a range of metals while upholding safety and efficiency. Strong 3-year welding experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Welding certificate from a technical school is required.
• Welding experience of at least three years.
• Ability to weld using Stick, MIG, and TIG.
• Ability to purge weld stainless steel pipe using TIG.
• Ability to read tape measure and fabricate from drawings.
• Ability to read and fabricate assemblies from working drawings.

Responsibilities

• Set up and weld skids of various sizes and materials.
• Weld stainless steel pipe and purge with TIG.
• Operate CNC plasma table to cut panels per drawings.
• Assemble pretreatment and chemical feed systems from drawings.
• Interconnect piping using PVC and galvanized/stainless steel parts.
• Maintain safety and keep work areas clean.
