The Highlands at Harbor Springs is seeking a Ski & Snowboard Technician to join our Snow Sports team. Provide guests with a safe, efficient, and enjoyable rental experience while maintaining the quality and organization of the rental fleet.

The ideal candidate is customer-service oriented, detail-focused, dependable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Seasonal position with perks and resort benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Snow sports experience not required but helpful.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, knowledgeable rental service to guests.
• Fit guests with ski/snowboard boots and equipment.
• Inspect and maintain rental gear for safety and quality.
• Follow procedures for fittings, safety checks, and renting.
• Educate guests on proper use and care of equipment.
• Assist with exchanges, adjustments, and questions.
• Keep rental area organized and clean.
• Identify damaged equipment and remove it from use.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient service to guests throughout the rental process.
• Properly size and fit guests with ski and snowboard boots, skis, snowboards, poles, helmets, and other applicable rental equipment.
• Inspect, adjust, clean, organize, and maintain rental equipment to ensure it meets safety and quality standards.
• Follow established procedures for equipment fitting, adjustments, safety inspections, and rental transactions.
• Educate guests on the proper use, care, and safe handling of rental equipment.
• Assist guests with equipment exchanges, adjustments, and general rental questions.
• Maintain an organized and clean rental area, including proper storage and organization of equipment.
• Identify damaged or unsafe equipment and remove it from service according to department procedures.
• Assist with daily opening and closing procedures, including preparing the rental shop and equipment for operations.
• Support the Snow Sports team with fleet maintenance and other operational duties as needed.
• Work collaboratively with team members and other resort departments to provide an exceptional guest experience.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
