Job summary

Middlebury College Snow School invites applicants to join as a part-time instructor at Snow Bowl/Rikert Nordic Center. You will teach lessons for all ages, act as a mountain ambassador, and collaborate with departments to ensure a high-quality experience.

You must be flexible, connect with groups, and prioritize safety; under‑16 hires are Junior Instructors with a lower rate. 14+ age requirement is listed.

Qualifications

• Proficient ski and/or snowboard skills.
• Able to work in team environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must be flexible – willing to adapt and improvise for effective teaching of skills.
• Must have ability to connect with people and understand group dynamics.
• Knowledge of the safety procedures for missing or injured students and guests.

Responsibilities

• Teaches ski and/or snowboard lessons to guests of all ages and abilities and acts as a mountain ambassador.
• Works as part of a team dedicated to creating the best possible environment for taking and teaching a ski or snowboard lesson.
• Works cooperatively with all Snowbowl departments. Prepared to assist other departments as needed.
