Job summary

Arapahoe Basin Ski and Ride School is seeking part-time Ski & Ride Instructors to teach skiing and snowboarding to adults, children and families in a high-energy alpine environment. Compensation includes a tiered staging program with pay progression based on PSIA-AASI certification levels.

Part-time starts at 20 days per season with an expected December 5, 2026 start date. Applicants should provide their own equipment and be prepared for outdoor, high-altitude work conditions.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service, teaching or coaching experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Able to multitask and work independently in a high-alpine outdoor setting.
• Minimum age 17 and weekend/holiday availability.
• Requires successful completion of a background check.

Responsibilities

• Introduce guests to snow sports and Arapahoe Basin’s culture.
• Create a safe and fun learning atmosphere with excellent service.
• Describe and demonstrate skiing/snowboarding to all levels.
• Work with kids, adults, and families to foster love of the sport.
• Adhere to the Responsibility Code and Skier Safety Act.
• Communicate honestly, respectfully, and take schedule ownership.
• Pursue ongoing personal improvement in skiing and riding.
• Follow department sustainability guidelines and perform other duties.
