Job summary

Boyne Country Sports is seeking a Shop Technician to tune and mount ski and snowboard bindings and assist customers from entry to checkout. You will ensure top‑quality service, handle gear, and keep the shop organized in a fast-paced resort environment.

The role emphasizes customer interaction, equipment care, and safety education while maintaining vendor guidelines for tuning and repairs. Weekend/holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• High school diploma or GED
• Weekend/holiday availability
• 2 years of ski/snowboard tuning and binding mounting experience
• Customer-service oriented role

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide information on equipment and supplies
• Assist with equipment fitting and care instructions
• Help customers select appropriate items and ensure proper adjustments
• Educate customers on safety during skiing and snowboarding
• Tune, repair, and store equipment per vendor instructions
• Communicate item functionality and answer questions
• Respond positively to customer issues and resolve when possible
• Complete rental/sale documentation and verify receipts
