Job summary

Snowshoe Mountain is seeking a seasonal Ski School Attendant to support Kids World operations during the winter season at Snowshoe, WV. You will assist with games, lunch organization, and ensuring children are prepared for lessons.

The role involves early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and requires a High School Diploma or GED. Medical benefits and on-mountain housing are offered as part of the perks.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children aged 4–12.
• Food Handler Card.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• May require lifting up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist children with activities and games in Kids World.
• Help with bathroom breaks and minor accidents.
• Dress children for outdoor weather and supervise clothing adjustments.
• Perform housekeeping duties in Kids World and assist with meals.
• Coordinate lunch orders with Food & Beverage and ensure supplies.
• Assist with check-in/check-out procedures and waivers for lessons.

Join us as a Ski School Attendant, where you'll support our Ski and Snowboard School supervisors and instructors in daily Kids World operations. Your responsibilities will include preparing hot chocolate, managing lunch orders, and caring for sick children while coordinating with parents. You'll also assist the littlest skiers with bathroom breaks and layering up for the slopes. Enjoy a fulfilling winter season indoors, engaging children with fun games and activities while contributing to their memorable ski school experience!

Job Responsibilities

• Helps with bathroom breaks
• Assists children with minor accidents ex: bathroom accidents, minor scrapes and bruises
• Makes minor adjustments or repairs to clothing
• Helps children dress for outside weather
• Performs housekeeping duties in kids world
• Participates and/or instructs children in games and activities

Organizes lunch by

• Working with the Food & Beverage Division to order daily lunches
• Serves food/drink for lunches and breaks
• Ensuring adequate supplies are available

Assists with check-in and check-out procedures by

• Helping guests fill out appropriate paperwork/waivers for lessons
• Ensures children are adequately prepared for lessons
• Escorts children to designated activities
• Performs basic RTP computer functions such as: checking inventory and closing open orders, etc
• Serves as an ambassador for the resort, being knowledgeable about resort facilities and products

Education

• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Experience

• Working with children between the ages of 4-12
• Food Handler Card
• Knowledge of safety practices, CPR/first aid certification preferred
• May require lifting and moving up to 25 pounds
