Job summary

Solitude Ski & Ride School seeks a Group Lesson Supervisor to oversee all group lesson products for kids and adults, and manage school groups and community programs. You will plan daily operations, coordinate dates, inventory, and instructor staffing, while supporting hiring, training, timekeeping, and evaluations.

You will lead a high-performing team of instructors, set schedules, and ensure safety and quality in all lesson offerings, with on-snow supervision as a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong, clear communication and leadership across 1:1, group and cross-functional settings.
• Dependable, punctual and accountable with ownership to drive work to completion.
• Knowledgeable of basic computer programs and able to learn new ones.
• Able to synthesize data to make staffing and operations decisions in fast-paced conditions.
• Organized work style and innovativeness; on-snow supervision is a plus.
• Current PSIA-AASI Level I certification and 2 years industry experience required; Level II preferred.

SeasonalJOB TITLE: Group Lesson SupervisorDIVISION: Solitude Ski & Ride SchoolREPORTS TO: Snowsports ManagerLOCATION: Solitude Ski & Ride SchoolCLASSIFICATION: Full-Time/ Seasonal/ HourlyPAY RATE: $28.88POSITION:The Ski & Ride School Group Lesson Supervisor oversees all daily group lesson products for kids and adults of all ages. This role also oversees school groups and grant-funded community programs. They are responsible for planning daily operations, coordinating program dates, participant inventory, and instructor staffing. Additionally, this role will support other operational functions including hiring, training, timekeeping, evaluating, recognition & disciplinary action, reporting, and offboarding.SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:• Strong, clear communication and leadership skills across 1:1, group, and cross-functional settings, with the empathy and self-awareness to develop, motivate, and adapt to a team of instructors• Must be dependable, punctual, and accountable, taking ownership and staying persistent to drive work to completion• Knowledgeable of basic computer programs, with the ability to learn new ones• Able to synthesize data and experience to make objective, timely decisions on staffing and operations, even in fast-paced or ambiguous conditions• Possess an organized work style• Able to be Innovative and creative• On snow supervision of Snowsports operation experience is a plus• Current Level I PSIA-AASI (or equivalent) Certification, and 2 years industry experience is required.
