Qualifications

• Current PSIA/AASI Trainers Accreditation or equivalent
• Strong understanding of educational concepts for teaching all levels
• Ability to perform on challenging terrain (double black diamond) and terrain parks

Responsibilities

• Mentor and train staff, actively drive business, and grow returning clients.
• Lead and coordinate quality training on technical, teaching, and people skills per PSIA-AASI standards.
• Own and maintain equipment including a helmet.
• Attend all required training including orientations, on snow instructor training, and online modules.
• Maintain good attendance and be aware of scheduled shifts.
• Communicate proactively with supervisors and leadership team.
• Follow resort and department policies/procedures.
• Provide lesson experiences that exceed guest expectations.
• Identify guest needs through observation and communication.
• Collaborate with team to address guest experience issues.
• Seek educational opportunities to improve your product.
• Be a positive ambassador for Solitude and Ski & Ride School.
• Maintain a professional appearance and accurate class lists, attendance, and timekeeping.
• Complete other department tasks as assigned.
• Demonstrate exceptional communication skills and leadership presence.
