Job summary

Vail Resorts in Crested Butte is hiring cooks for the winter season (2026/2027). Starting wage ranges from $22.00/hr to $29.22/hr, with full-time hours available and housing options.

You will assist the kitchen, maintain food quality, and promote safety while delivering an exceptional dining experience for guests. Positions require English fluency, 18+, and the ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree or certification preferred.
• 1-2 years of relevant kitchen experience; supervisory kitchen experience preferred.
• ServSafe certification a plus.
• Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Understand the use and operation of kitchen equipment, tools and accessories for use and to train other kitchen staff
• Adhere to and enforce applicable standards for facility and food preparation, cleanliness, and sanitation to ensure a high-quality work environment and guest experience.
• Maintain knowledge of current menu items and their ingredients
• Prep ingredients and maintain par levels for demand to minimize waste.
• Maintain inventory of ingredients using a first in first out method and monitor food waste for reporting
• Other duties as assigned
