Job summary

Vail Resorts, Inc. is seeking a Sous Chef for our on-mountain dining outlets during the Winter Seasonal 2026/2027. The role focuses on delivering high-quality food and service, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring food safety and quality across all shifts.

Starting wage is $23.00 to $26.00 per hour. Employment is Full Time for the winter season with opportunities for professional development and engagement with a dynamic mountain dining team.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree preferred and 3+ years in high-volume restaurant operation.
• Knowledge of HACCP and kitchen safety practices.
• Experience supervising or coordinating kitchen staff is desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist Kitchen Manager with menu production and delivery.
• Maintain food safety across all operations in the outlet.
• Ensure HACCP guidelines and Serve Safe standards are followed daily.
• Assist with scheduling staff and payroll-related tasks.
• Oversee inventory control and cost transfers for the outlet.
• Develop and train culinary staff to maintain product quality.
