Job summary

Christy Sports in Avon, Colorado is hiring a Repair Technician to tune and repair skis and snowboards while delivering outstanding guest service on the sales floor and in the workshop. You’ll sharpen edges, wax, mount bindings, assess repairs, and keep the workshop organized and safe, with excellent communication and a passion for mountain sports.

The role includes commission and a free employee ski pass to enjoy the mountains off hours.

Qualifications

• Strong ski or snowboard background and a love for the sport.
• Self-motivated, able to multitask, and detail oriented.
• Comfortable with POS systems (preferred).
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Eagerness to learn – we’re happy to train the right candidate who is excited about learning the trade!

Responsibilities

• Build trust with guests by providing accurate information and excellent service.
• Assess when skis or snowboards need tuning or repair and recommend the best service option.
• Perform ski and snowboard tuning: sharpening, waxing, mounting, drilling, and more.
• Maintain accurate pricing and ensure promotions are up to date.
• Keep the workshop clean, organized, and operating safely.
• Follow all Christy Sports safety standards and procedures in the repair shop.
• Monitor inventory and stay on top of industry trends and technology.
• Support teammates and pitch in with other duties as needed.
