Job summary

Christy Sports in Vail, CO is seeking a Store Manager to oversee the Ski/Snowboard Rental Department, lead and train staff, manage inventory, and maximize profitability while delivering best-in-class guest service. You will supervise daily operations, hire and coach team members, ensure proper binding DIN settings and boot fitting knowledge, and uphold loss prevention and policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong ski and/or snowboard background.
• Prior leadership experience in ski/snowboard rental operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task.
• Experience with POS systems preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, holidays and weekends.
• Must stand for extended periods and lift 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high guest service standards through leadership and behavior.
• Demonstrate knowledge of products and industry trends.
• Train staff on binding DIN settings and boot fitting.
• Ensure pricing is accurate and current, including promotions.
• Maintain store cleanliness and inventory controls.
• Assist store manager with payroll budgeting and staffing.
• Hire, train, coach, and lead staff; enforce policies.
• Protect company assets through loss prevention measures.
