Job summary

Mt Southington Ski Area Inc is seeking a Mountain Maintenance Technician to inspect, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on ski mountain facilities, lifts, vehicles, and equipment. This hands-on role requires troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and facility systems in outdoor winter conditions.

You will participate in lift start-ups/shutdowns, maintain logs, and support annual inspections while adhering to safety policies and recording work hours accurately.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Mechanical maintenance experience is a plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
• Strong work ethic and safety discipline.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, nights, and peak season hours.

Responsibilities

• Inspect chairlifts and surface lifts daily/weekly as assigned.
• Perform routine maintenance on lift components and drive systems.
• Support start-up/shutdown procedures for lifts.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic lift systems.
• Maintain maintenance logs and inspection records.
• Assist with lift and snowmaking maintenance as needed.
• Follow safety policies and report hazards immediately.
