Job summary

Killington/Pico Ski Resort Partners, LLC seeks a Level 2 Lift Maintenance Technician to perform preventative and on-demand maintenance of ski lift systems. The role involves working outdoors year-round, climbing structures, and coordinating with mountain operations to ensure safe operation.

The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical background, familiarity with hydraulic systems and PLC controls, and is willing to work weekends/holidays in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; formal mechanical training preferred.
• Active enrollment in Level 2 Vermont Tramway Apprenticeship or equivalent is desirable.
• Demonstrated knowledge of ski lift operation and controls; ability to diagnose and repair.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assist in maintaining lift equipment to ensure safe operation per SOPs and ANSI B77.1.
• Diagnose, repair, and perform maintenance on ski lift systems and equipment.
• Attend required training including Vermont Tramway Apprenticeship program.
• Maintain maintenance logs and documentation.
• Assist in training level 1 technicians and lift operations staff.
