Mt. Baker Ski Area, Inc. seeks Ski & Snowboard Instructors to provide safe, engaging, and encouraging instruction to guests of all ages and abilities on the mountain.
Instructors may teach skiing, snowboarding, or both, adapting to qualification needs while promoting confidence and enjoyment in a dynamic outdoor environment. Successful candidates are positive, dependable, patient, and capable of maintaining high safety and guest service standards.

Ski & Snowboard Instructors help create a welcoming, inclusive, and community-oriented learning environment by providing safe, engaging, and encouraging instruction to guests of all ages and ability levels. Instructors may teach skiing, snowboarding, or both depending on qualifications and operational needs while helping guests build confidence, develop skills, and enjoy their experience on the mountain.
Successful employees in this role are positive, dependable, patient, and comfortable working in dynamic outdoor environments with changing weather and snow conditions. This position requires strong communication, professionalism, and the ability to adapt instruction to different learning styles and group needs while maintaining a high standard of safety, guest service, and teamwork. Instructors are expected to contribute to a supportive department culture, maintain familiarity with ski area operations and policies, and help foster a strong sense of community both on and off the snow.
Starting rate begins at $17.13/hour with increases for experience, merit, tenure and future WA State minimum wage adjustments possible.
This is a seasonal, variable hour position. Hours per week may vary between 5-40+ hours/week. Expected end date for position is April 18, 2027, unless otherwise approved by management.
