Job summary

Loon Mountain Sports is seeking a knowledgeable Boot Fitter to join our retail team for the upcoming winter season. Boot Fitters provide quality customer service and are experts in ski and snowboard hard goods, greeting guests and guiding them to properly fitted boots.

Responsibilities include product demonstrations, maintaining a safe, clean environment, and accurate documentation for each demo or sale. Boot fitting knowledge is a plus and certification can be obtained if not already held.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• Previous retail sales experience in hard and soft goods preferred.
• Boot fitting knowledge a plus; boot fitter certificate or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of proper boot fit for ski and snowboard boots.
• Greet guests and identify their needs; steer them to appropriate products.
• Sell products that meet guest needs; provide directions and answer questions.
• Maintain a positive attitude in all interactions; ensure receipts and change are correct.
• Oversee care of equipment, maintenance and cleaning per vendor instructions.
