Job summary

Solitude Mountain Resort is seeking a Seasonal Ski & Ride School Support Staff member to provide direct and indirect support for instructors and students. The role involves maintaining facilities, supervising children, keeping areas clean, logging daily activities, and preparing/serving lunch for students.

Candidates should be at least 18, able to lift 40 pounds, and hold a food handlers permit. Knowledge of skiing/snowboarding is a plus; weekend/holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Able to work with children.
• Able to lift to 40 pounds.
• Food handlers permit.
• Available during peak periods (weekends and holidays).
• Able to work inside and outside in winter.
• Able to stand for extended periods (boots may be worn).
• Skiing or snowboarding ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Be a positive and professional ambassador of Solitude and Snowsports for guests.
• Assist guests and instructors with outside responsibilities.
• Portion and serve food to lesson students and instructors.
• Assist with lesson yard setup and tear down.
• Help with snow and ice removal outside.
• Assist guests checking in for lessons.
• Maintain accurate daily logs.
• Engage with children in a fun, supportive manner.
• Communicate with instructors, supervisors, students, and parents.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

REPORTS TO: Ski & Ride Supervisors

LOCATION: Ski & Ride School

CLASSIFICATION: Seasonal/ Part-Time/ Hourly

Compensation: $18.65/hr

POSITION:

The Ski & Ride School Support Staff provides direct and indirect support for instructors and students. In this role team members will maintain the facility and learning areas, engage and supervise children in the building, keep work areas clean and sanitary, maintain daily logs, and prepare/serve lunch to students.

SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• - At least 18 years of age
• - Able to work with children
• - Able to lift to 40 pounds
• - Food handlers permit
• - AvailaFSDble during peak periods (weekends and holidays)
• - Able to work inside and in an outside environment in winter
• - Able to stand for longer periods, sometimes in ski & snowboard boots
• - Skiing or snowboarding ability is a plus (not required)
