Job summary

Oak View Group in Everett, Washington seeks a Skating Coach to teach group classes across levels, support facility programs and events, and provide a positive experience for all participants. This position reports to the Rink and Programs Manager. This role pays an hourly wage of $20.77.

Responsibilities include on-ice and off-ice instruction, evaluating students, promoting programs to guests, and ensuring safety and punctual attendance. Evening and weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of coaching or instructional experience required.
• Must be physically able to perform on-ice instruction for scheduled sessions.
• Current Learn to Skate USA Instructor Membership (or able to obtain).
• Current SafeSport certification (or able to obtain).
• Demonstrated skating proficiency in figure skating and/or ice hockey.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends as required.
• Effective teaching style with positive, encouraging approach.
• Ability to communicate with skaters, parents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Teach group classes across levels and disciplines, including off-ice training.
• Engage skaters of various ages and learning styles with diverse methods.
• Evaluate students and complete reports and certificates as needed.
• Promote programs to guests to support growth and facility excellence.
• Be punctual and provide support before/after classes as needed.
• Represent the rink positively on and off the ice.
• Support facility events, camps, and community programming.
• Attend coach meetings and required training.
• Enforce safety protocols and monitor participants for hazards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
