Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking a highly motivated professional to join the Hot Section Module Center OpX team in an Onsite role.

You will investigate, analyze and implement Lean/Six Sigma solutions to improve process quality and cost, mentoring teams and coordinating training for Six Sigma belts.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
• A recognized Six Sigma Black Belt certification is preferred
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

• Supports the organization’s employees in variation reduction and process control proficiency by coaching, mentoring and coordinate execution of required training – Six Sigma Green Belts, and Six Sigma Black Belts.
• Work with senior management project champions to support the project pipeline process to select, prioritize and scope projects to business objectives (COPQ-SRR, Key Characteristic Milestone Certification, Manufacturing Readiness Level, PPAP, etc.), integrated with other continuous improvement activities and ACE/CORE initiatives and schedule and facilitate periodic project reviews and ensure sign off on formal gate reviews.
• Ensure technical quality of variation reduction and process control projects. Lead significant projects critical to improve manufacturing process capability & quality performance.
• Support the development of standard work, procedures, and integrate industry-standard best practices.
• Support the development of training material and course instruction for Six Sigma process control.
• Collaborate with Six Sigma leads at other HSMC sites for discipline standardization and sharing of best practices.
• Coordinate development and publishing of Success Stories.

The Pratt and Whitney Hot Section Module Center OpX team is seeking a highly motivated individual to investigate, analyze and implement solutions to drive process improvements, quality improvements and cost improvements using Lean/Six Sigma principles. The candidate must demonstrate exceptional leadership, interpersonal and team skills, as well as strong communication skills and ability to multi-task and adapt to changing business requirements

• Demonstrated ProCert/Six Sigma project leadership/management/coaching experience.
• Experience of 7+ years in manufacturing environment.
• Excellent knowledge of MS office computer software including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Able to use Minitab and other statistical software.
• Proficiency in statistics, and data analytics.
• ACE/CORE/ 6 Sigma Master/expert level certification.
• Familiarity and experience with AS9145 APQP.
• Strong understanding of other continuous improvement skills: DFSS, Red-X, Lean, etc.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
