Job summary

Midwest City - Del City School District Child Nutrition is seeking a 6-hour Cafeteria Assistant for Midwest City Elementary. The role involves assisting in meal preparation and serving within the school cafeteria, following district guidelines and production menus.

The position requires the ability to work with staff, students, and parents, perform duties on schedule, and maintain safety and quality standards in a busy food service environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Foodservice related experience or training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows time, task, and rotation schedules assigned by the supervisor.
• Performs cleaning, serving, cashiering, and dish room duties as assigned.
• Assists co-workers and supervisor if and when needed.
• Works cooperatively with all staff members of the Child Nutrition Department, Administration Office, District staff, students, parents and general public.
• Follow all Child Nutrition/District cash control procedures.
• Follows production menus and recipes to prepare quality products and control food cost.
• Ensures compliance with all Child Nutrition Department, District, local, state, and federal requirements, policies, guidelines, rules, and regulations.
• Additional duties that may be assigned by immediate supervisor or above.
