Job summary

Sentry Insurance in Goldsboro, NC or Nashville, TN seeks an SIU Desk Investigator to conduct basic to moderately complex claims investigations across auto, workers’ compensation, and commercial lines. You will gather and analyze information, interview witnesses, hire contractors, and coordinate with law enforcement as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of related work experience; 4+ preferred in law enforcement or investigations.
• Ability to travel as necessary to complete responsibilities.
• Strong investigative and communication skills with the law enforcement community.
• Proficiency with computer software and adaptability to new technologies.
• Spanish and English language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct basic to moderately complex investigations across auto, workers’ comp, and commercial claims.
• Gather and analyze information from internal and external sources; conduct interviews and recorded statements.
• Hire independent contractors and coordinate with law enforcement as required.
• Prepare investigation notes and summary reports; recommend action to management.
• Represent the company in court appearances as needed and engage with fraud agencies.
