Job summary

Peraton is seeking an experienced Network Architect to support USSOCOM’s SITEC3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance. The role focuses on designing, optimizing, and securing mission-critical networks at MacDill AFB in Florida, ensuring high availability and performance for global operations.

The successful candidate will lead complex NETOPS discussions, review existing architectures, and collaborate across teams to implement robust network solutions.

Qualifications

• Min 16 years with HS degree; 14 years with AS/AA; 12 years with BS/BA; 10 years with MS/MA; 7 years with a PhD.
• DoD TS/SCI clearance required.
• DoD 8570 IAT II Certification.
• Experience with network operating systems (e.g., Cisco, Novell and Windows Server), network hardware (e.g., routers, switches, cabling and other essential network hardware), and LAN/WAN protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, MPLS).
• Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, along with strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform Tier-4 network support per the SIE OPORD.
• Review existing architectures and assist with design and implementation of improvements.
• Troubleshoot enterprise voice, video, cloud, and data networks and assess impact of changes.
• Follow network standards for LAN/WAN, voice and data systems, and advanced engineering.
• Plan, design, engineer, configure, maintain, defend, troubleshoot, and repair VLANs.
