Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support USSOCOM SITEC 3 EOM at MacDill AFB, Florida. The role focuses on designing, deploying, and maintaining mission-critical network operations across global environments, ensuring security, performance, and availability.

You will lead discussions, work with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior staff in a modernization program. The position requires extensive network design, LAN/WAN, security, and DOD-compliant practices, with a TS/SCI

Qualifications

• Minimum 16 years with HS, 14 years with AS/AA, 12 years with BS/BA, 10 years with MS/MA, or 7 years with PhD.
• DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
• DOD 8570 IAT II Certification required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and lead enterprise data, voice and video networks.
• Collaborate with Government, carriers and staff on network implementation and optimization.
• Provide high-level networking expertise including LAN/WAN hardware, switches and routers.
• Lead teams to integrate new technology into operations.
• Establish baselines to measure global network performance.
• Advise senior government staff on best practices and policy recommendations.
• Provide comprehensive systems and network engineering and architectural planning.
• Interface with O&M personnel for strategic design and project support.
• Review architectures regularly and plan improvements.
• Focus on end-to-end functionality of complex systems and service integration.
• Manage data storage with SAN/NAS/iSCSI/DAS expertise.
