Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA seeks a Site Tech II to perform grounds maintenance, mowing, seeding, weed control, and related tasks across campus. Responsibilities include equipment operation, seasonal snow and ice control, and assisting with construction or hardscape work as needed.
The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years of related experience preferred, and the ability to lift 75+ pounds.
The Site Tech II is responsible for small projects, mowing, weedeating, seeding, planting, weed control, equipment maintenance,snow, and ice control, asphalt or concrete work, brick orstonework, demolition, grading and/or site cleanup tasks. As wellas, all the cultivation and care of the landscaping and grounds ofLiberty University. Operates lawn mowers, and other relatedequipment. Any other duties as assigned. Working independently andexercising good judgment and discretion.
The working environment in which one will typically perform theessential functions of this position is an outdoor setting anddefined by the weather.
If the employee is required to travel in the performance of theduties and responsibilities of the position, the use of one’spersonal vehicle (or LU vehicles) may be required for travel. Proofof a valid driver’s license, an acceptable DMV record, LU DrivingApproval, and liability insurance is required only when driving inthe performance of the employee’s position.
