Job summary

Smurfit Westrock plc is seeking a Technical Coordinator to lead site training and certification activities, ensuring operators develop the technical capability to meet safety, quality, and performance targets. You will partner with site leadership and Operations Learning & Development to design onboarding, manage training metrics, and drive continuous improvement.

• Strong problem solving and judgment to address proficiency gaps.
• Experience leading technical training in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Familiarity with learning management systems and training recordkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver technical training and qualification activities to achieve certified team members.
• Partner with Operations Learning & Development and site leadership for onboarding and new-hire integration.
• Track, evaluate, and report training effectiveness using established standards and learning systems.
• Direct and assign work during training and certification activities, including prioritization.
• Develop, maintain, and improve site training content (SOPs, workflows, and job aids).
• Maintain trainer qualifications and administer certification processes for consistency and compliance.
