The Cancer Center of Kansas (CCK) is seeking a full -time, Site Supervisor to join our team in our Manhattan , KS offices. The typical work week is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4 :30 PM with no major holidays, no on-call and no weekends.

What does this position entail?

Responsible for the overall supervision of daily operations and personnel at a designated local site, overseeing all roles and functions within that location. Acts as the primary liaison between site staff and the CCK leadership team, supporting the implementation of practice objectives and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. This role plays a key part in the ongoing evaluation and optimization of site workflows to maintain high standards of service, efficiency, and compliance. Adheres to and promotes the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position are:

  • Supervise all roles and functions of the site.
  • Maintain regular and proactive communication with management to provide updates on site operations, highlight challenges, and share areas of success.
  • Supervise and assist in onboarding and training of new staff members, delegating appropriate training tasks.
  • Ensure team compliance with all relevant practice and Network policies and procedures including but not limited to OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
  • Serve as a liaison when needed between staff and patients, and staff and other departments to facilitate clear and timely communication as needed; escalate to the appropriate member of leadership team if there are issues or concerns that require decision making beyond daily operations.
  • Direct any concerns or communications involving providers to a member of the leadership team.
  • Ensure comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all workflows and systems utilized by site staff to effectively offer hands-on support and fill in for non-licensed positions as needed during staffing shortages.
  • Maintain proactive awareness of staffing levels to ensure adequate daily coverage and optimal productivity.
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with the local team regarding workflow updates, policies, procedures, meetings, and other operational changes.
  • Provide support to team members, addressing interpersonal issues professionally and confidentially and keeping relevant members of the leadership team informed.
  • Uphold strict confidentiality in all matters related to personnel, patient, physician and leadership-level information.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for receiving and addressing patient concerns or complaints, resolving issues when appropriate, and escalating to administration or management as needed.
  • Assign and adjust duties to balance workload effectively while fostering a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of scheduling workflows, policies, and procedures to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Monitor team performance and productivity, identifying areas for improvement and recognizing achievements.
  • Be an active part in conducting regular performance evaluations and delivering constructive feedback to support professional growth.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and development through coaching and mentorship.
  • Ensure all site equipment and systems are properly maintained and fully operational.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of and adhere to confidentiality, state, federal, and HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) laws and guidelines with regards to patient’s records and information.
  • Attend all required, applicable meetings.
  • Remain current on all compliance requirements.
  • Ensure all applicable policies and procedures of CCK and Network are followed.
  • Perform other tasks as reasonably requested or assigned by the CCK Executive team.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Manhattan site personnel.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the position will have the following qualifications:

  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum three years of office experience, preferably in a medical office setting.
  • Experience with coordinating or supervising is preferred but not required.

Physical Demands of the Job:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to be present at the employee site during regularly scheduled business hours. Work may require sitting for long periods of time; also stooping, bending and stretching for files and supplies. Occasionally lifting files or paper weighing up to 30 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, calculator, telephone, copier and other office equipment. Vision must be correctable to 20/20 and hearing must be in the normal range for telephone contacts. It is necessary to view and type on computer screens for prolonged periods of time.

Work Environment:

The work environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment. Work will involve in-person interaction with co-workers and management and/or clients. Work may require minimal travel by automobile to office sites.
