Own the Jobsite. Drive the Schedule. Deliver Quality from Mobilization Through Closeout

US-Offsite is a modular design-build manufacturer and general contractor helping developers complete high-quality modular projects with greater speed, cost predictability, and control. Through USO Building Co., our construction division integrates factory-built modules with site preparation, vertical construction, subcontractor coordination, installation, and final project turnover.

USO Building Co. is seeking an experienced Traveling Site Superintendent to lead field operations on active construction projects throughout California.

As the primary on-site leader, you will be responsible for safe, timely, and high-quality field execution from mobilization through closeout. You will lead daily construction activities, coordinate subcontractors and USO personnel, manage schedules and site logistics, oversee modular deliveries and setting operations, enforce safety standards, and maintain project quality and documentation.

This role requires extensive travel, with project assignments typically lasting 8-14 months. A structured home-rotation schedule, housing support, and travel assistance are provided.

The successful candidate will be a decisive, organized field leader who takes ownership of jobsite performance, communicates effectively, solves problems quickly, and maintains high standards for safety, schedule, quality, and execution.

  • Resolve field and sequencing issues quickly to maintain project momentum
Safety and Site Security
  • Administer the project-specific safety program in accordance with company procedures and OSHA requirements
  • Conduct safety orientations, toolbox talks, meetings, inspections, and emergency-preparedness activities
  • Enforce PPE requirements and immediately address unsafe conditions or practices
  • Document and report incidents promptly
  • Maintain jobsite security and protect tools, materials, equipment, installed work, and completed construction
  • Lead by example in maintaining a strong safety culture
Site Logistics and Organization
  • Develop and maintain project-specific site logistics plans
  • Manage site access, staging areas, delivery routes, traffic control, crane locations, and equipment movement
  • Coordinate deliveries to minimize disruption to construction activities

  • Inspect work for compliance with drawings, specifications, approved submittals, manufacturer requirements, and company standards
  • Identify workmanship or installation issues and ensure prompt correction
  • Coordinate municipal inspections, testing, surveying, and other quality-assurance activities

  • Hold teams accountable for safety, schedule, quality, and jobsite performance
  • Identify field conditions that may result in RFIs, change orders, backcharges, additional costs, or schedule impacts
  • Communicate effectively with owners, inspectors, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal project staff
Field Reporting and Documentation
  • Prepare accurate daily field reports covering manpower, completed work, deliveries, inspections, safety, weather, delays, and site developments
  • Review, verify, and approve time-and-material tickets, time sheets, delivery tickets, and supporting field documentation
