Job summary

The H&K Group, Inc. is seeking a Site Foreperson/Superintendent in Bernville, PA to direct on-site crews building highways, pipelines, and other heavy civil projects. The role emphasizes safety, clear communication, and leadership of a skilled team.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on supervision experience, familiarity with milling, paving, and heavy equipment, and the ability to plan from specifications while coordinating subcontractors to keep projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 3 years related experience.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Experience operating heavy equipment (milling, paving, roller).
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to meet physical requirements and wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Direct workers and subcontractors to meet project schedules.
• Ensure OSHA/MSHA safety policies are followed.
• Plan procedures from specs and staffing needs for paving projects.
• Assemble staff at project start and coordinate activities.
• Order tools and materials to meet schedules.
• Review progress and adjust schedules as needed.
• Maintain workmanship quality and adherence to specs.
