Job summary

EquipmentShare is hiring a Work Site Stabilization Technician in Baton Rouge, LA. The role involves preparing, stabilizing, and finishing work sites for construction, industrial, and infrastructure projects.

You will operate heavy equipment, perform subgrade assessments, apply stabilization treatments, and ensure proper compaction and drainage. Extensive travel and overnight stays are required, with OSHA/DOT safety at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and related tech tools.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of rock applications for site prep.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; willingness to travel.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently with overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain heavy equipment for soil stabilization and surface prep.
• Apply treatments for proper compaction, drainage and durability.
• Install and compact base layers and finish top layers for pavements.
• Travel to multiple job sites up to 90% with overnights/weekends.
• Follow OSHA/DOT safety guidelines and inspect equipment daily.
• Coordinate with site supervisors and project teams for timely execution.
