Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb in Manati, PR is seeking a Site Security professional to safeguard personnel, property, products, and information in line with corporate policies and GMPs. The role reports to the Site Manager Corporate Security and supports security operations across the Manati site.

Responsibilities include supervising contracted guards, managing investigations and asset protection programs, and coordinating safety and security with Finance, EHS, and QC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, Science, or Business Administration.
• Five (5) years' experience Security, police or military function and at least three (3) in an industrial environment.
• Law enforcement experience and background on investigations, is a plus.
• General knowledge of relevant governmental regulations, GMPs and guidelines.
• Knowledge of computer systems.
• Self-motivated, creative and team work oriented.
• Bilingual Spanish/English. Both written and verbal required.
• Ability to identify problems and develop solutions.
• Ability to proactively adapt to and promote new technologies and processes in security.
• Ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with a variety of internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise contracted security guards to ensure compliance with contracts.
• Manage investigations, asset protection, and information protection programs.
• Provide protection of company assets and observe internal controls.
• Dispose/donate products per directives with Finance, EHS, QC.
• Review, write, and implement security SOPs.
• Attend site security meetings and participate in cross-functional forums.
• Coordinate and maintain site Keys Control Program.
• Prepare weekly security activity reports.
• Conduct security investigations and recommend preventive actions.
• Cooperate with law enforcement on investigations.
• Support local emergency and safety programs.
• Support in maximizing site protection at minimum cost.
• Participate in special assignments to solve security situations.
• Perform periodic buildings and grounds inspections.
• Inform Security Technician of deficiencies.
