Job summary

Commercial Contracting Corporation (CCC) is seeking a Project Safety Specialist II to support a major Cayuga, Indiana construction project. You will embed with project teams to promote a strong safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive safe project execution across six modular buildings in an electrical switchyard.

The role requires OSHA 30, 2+ years of field safety experience, and the ability to manage safety plans, trainings, and inspections.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of construction safety experience.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices.
• Experience supporting active construction projects in field environments.
• Experience conducting safety inspections, audits, incident investigations, and safety training.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and provide effective field leadership.
• Ability to build strong relationships with project teams, subcontractors, and customers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and related Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate commitment to CCC's safety culture and adhere to the CCC Corporate Safety Manual.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and CCC safety policies.
• Partner with project leaders to promote safe work practices and project success.
• Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific safety plans.
• Conduct safety orientations for employees, visitors, and subcontractors.
• Support site safety activities for modular building construction within a switchyard environment.
• Monitor safety performance for self-perform operations.
• Facilitate pre-task planning, JHAs, and Safe Work Planning.
• Perform routine safety inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, injuries, and safety concerns.
• Deliver toolbox talks and safety training.
• Maintain qualification and training records.
