Job summary

PACK Power, LLC is seeking a Site Safety Specialist to implement, monitor, and enforce safety policies across nationwide electrical construction projects. The role travels up to 100%, onsite at project locations with rotation home time, a company vehicle, and per diem.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of construction safety in a supervisory/ management role.
• CHST or other BCSP certification preferred.
• Knowledge and experience with medium and/ or high voltage substations, collection systems, or transmission lines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and oversee safety programs, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed by all employees and contractors on-site.
• Identify at-risk behaviors and unsafe conditions and take immediate corrective action.
• Identify and understand any contractual requirements (Safety or SWPP).
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure workplace safety standards are being met.
• Provide training to employees on safety practices and emergency response procedures.
• Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations and ensure the organization is compliant.
• Responsible for project needs for safety supplies.
• Communicate with client/ owner safety representative.
• Assist with any OSHA inspections.
• Conduct weekly safety meetings for project.

Job description

The Site Safety Specialist is responsible for the implementation, monitoring, and enforcement of the company's safety policies and procedures across nation-wide medium and high voltage electrical construction projects. This role ensures compliance with company policies, as well as relevant federal, state, and local safety laws and regulations.

Location & Travel: This is a traveling position (up to 100%), where you will be onsite at a project location. You have the potential to be placed on a project site located in any state throughout the US. You'll spend 1-6 months on average per project. In addition to your base salary, you'll receive a daily per diem to assist with living expenses while on assignment. This role includes regular rotational travel home from the job site. A company vehicle and fuel card will also be provided.

Education and Work Experience

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, or related field preferred
