Job summary

PACK Power, LLC is seeking a hands-on Construction Laborer to support high voltage and medium voltage projects. You will work alongside craft workers on jobsites, operate equipment as needed, and help keep a clean, safe, and efficient site.

This role offers nationwide project opportunities, hourly pay plus a daily per diem, and opportunities to grow within a team-driven culture that values safety, reliability, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and related construction experience.
• Equipment operator certifications as required per equipment.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote and comply with all Company and safety policies and procedures.
• Hands-on with installation and assist crew members with physical tasks.
• Operate hand tools, load materials, and assist in installing underground utilities.
• Coordinate machine actions with other activities and provide signals to operators.
• Maintain clear communication and understand safety regulations and job duties.
• Perform maintenance duties on equipment and complete daily reports.

Location & Travel:

This role offers nationwide opportunities based on project needs. In addition to your hourly pay,you’llreceive a daily per diem toassistwith living expenses while on assignment.

Our Medium Voltage Division delivers comprehensive engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) solutions for renewable energy collection systems and medium voltage electrical infrastructure. Our expertise includes collection systems, medium voltage distribution, and substations that efficiently connect renewable generation assets to the electrical grid.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Promote andcomply withall Company and safety policies and procedures
• Ability to workhands onwith installation andassistcrew members with physical tasks asrequired(i.e.loading reels, fueling equipment, threading equipment,etc).
• Primarily focusedon the physical aspects ofinstallationprocess. Ensure capabilitiesextend to operating hand tools,lifting upwards of 50lbs, loading materials, handcompacting soil, andassistingin the installation of underground utilities.
• Assistwith the threading equipment, handling, and placement of cables and/or conduit per project requirements.
• Clean and prepare work locations toeliminatepotential hazards
• Haveknowledge of equipment functions, running, navigating,detectsorassessesproblems, mechanical aptitude, and driving.
• Gather andmanage materials, consumables,and wasteproductfrom jobsite onto trucks using various pieces of equipment.
• Ability to hand excavate trenches and remove, fill, or compact native materials
• Coordinate machine actions with other activities, positioning or moving loads,providinghandor audio signalsto operators/crew members.
• Must have the ability to communicate clearly,listenand understand information through spoken words and sentences to ensure full comprehension of job duties, safety regulations, and other situations that may require an immediate response.
• Turn valves to control air and water output of compressors and pumps.
• Perform maintenance duties such as cleaning,greasingand oilingmachines,maintenance reports filled out daily.
• Allother duties as assigned by Superintendent or Foreman.
  

Education and Work Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and six to twelve months of related experience in constructionor equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Equipment Operator certifications asrequiredper equipment beingoperated.
• ValidDriversLicense
• CDL Preferred
  

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working towards safety principles.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules,operatingand maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's, ability to perform these operations using units, weightmeasurementand volume.
• Ability to understand units of force, pressure and torque and applyappropriate toolingadjustments for each.
• Commonsenseunderstanding to carry out instructionsfurnishedin written or oral form.
• Be able to work within precise standards of accuracy and follow set procedures and standards.
• Working knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in structural fills, DOT, and other public and private entities.
• Workers should be able to work within precise standards of accuracy; follow set procedures and standards, judgedistancesand slopes accurately; and make decisions based on verifiable standards.
