Ameresco, Inc. is seeking a Site Safety and Health Officer / Quality Control Manager (SSHO/QCM) to supervise safety on a two-year VA project in Yuma, AZ. The role requires a B.S. degree in Occupational Safety & Health Engineering with multiple safety certifications and 5 years of construction safety experience.

You will develop site safety plans, coach staff, conduct audits and inspections, and ensure EM 385 1.1 compliance. Strong communication and travel readiness are essential.

Qualifikationen

• B.S. degree in Occupational Safety & Health Engineering or similar field.
• Minimum 5 years construction industry safety experience on similar projects.
• Average of at least 24 hours of formal safety training per year for 5 years with competency in Excavation, Scaffolding, Fall protection, Hazardous energy, Confined space, health hazard recognition and control.
• Construction Health and Safety Technician Certification.
• EM385-1-1 40-Hr. Safety Certification.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification.
• First Aid & CPR Certification.
• NFPA 70E certification for flash training.
• CQC Certification.

Aufgaben

• Prepare Site-Specific Safety Plans and Activity Hazard Analysis for assigned projects.
• Ensure compliance to Safety Policies and adopted Standards.
• Ensure PPE meets EM 385 1.1 requirements and employees are trained.
• Conduct Safety Audits of project sites ensuring safe work and health protection.
• Safety training of all personnel assigned to project.
• Conduct project safety inspections with follow‑ups on open items.
• Review subcontractor safety qualifications and attend Pre‑Construction Meetings.
• Develop and evaluate activity hazard reviews and corrective actions.
• Lead incident/accident investigations and ensure corrective actions.
• Maintain safety certifications and produce safety reports.
