Job summary

Boys and Girls Clubs of San Leandro seeks a Site Safety and Operations Coordinator to lead daily site safety, operations, and staff development at a school-based site. You will coordinate safety drills, incident response, and policy compliance to create a secure, structured after-school space.

You will collaborate with school and BGCSL leadership, train staff in emergency procedures, and help maintain a safe environment where youth can learn and grow.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience working with school-aged youth in an educational or after-school setting.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain before start date.
• Availability for the entire academic school year, including training sessions and after-school closeout operations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, staff, parents, and partners.
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations, ensuring adherence to BGCSL, school site and district policies.
• Implement and lead safety procedures, conduct drills, and align with Director of Club Safety and Operations.
• Investigate, document, and implement corrective actions for safety incidents with monthly inspections.
• Lead onboarding, ongoing training, and certification programs for staff, ensuring CPR and first aid compliance.
• Manage student enrollment, class assignments, and check-in/out through MyClubHub while maintaining a safe site environment.
• Maintain accurate safety records, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
• Provide regular updates to leadership on safety improvements and operational needs; collaborate with district safety teams.
• Foster a proactive safety-focused culture and ensure staff engagement in security and student well-being.
