Job summary

Bristol Bay Construction Holdings LLC is seeking a Site Safety Officer to manage construction safety and occupational health programs at Charlestown Navy Yard and other locations in MA. You will enforce safety plans, conduct training, and oversee subcontractor compliance for a growing GC East-Mid Atlantic team.

Requires 5 years federal construction safety experience, OSHA 30, and the ability to obtain necessary clearances.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of federal construction experience with NAVFAC, USACE, or Coast Guard.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive construction industry experience in supervising/managing general construction safety programs.
• Ability to obtain necessary security clearances as required by the task order.
• OSHA 30 hour certification is required.
• Additional Safety Certifications as required (e.g. lead awareness, scaffolding, fall protection, hot work, confined space).
• Proficient with EM385 1-1.
• Experience with eCMS, RMS, Procore a plus.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, and PDF.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety and occupational health management, surveillance, inspections, site safety orientation, and training.
• Conduct safety meetings and pre-construction/ pre-work conferences.
• Develop and review preconstruction safety submittals; review for compliance.
• Implement and enforce Accident Prevention Plans (APP) and Activity Hazard Analyses (AHA).
• Monitor subcontractor safety and health compliance; verify safety qualifications.
• Maintain safety documentation, OSHA forms, inspection logs, and chemical inventories.
• Conduct mishap investigations and required reports; track corrective actions.
