Job summary

OMS Consulting Services, LLC seeks a diligent Site Safety Manager to provide third-party safety oversight for a new construction site. You will ensure compliance with OSHA, ANSI, and project safety standards, reporting to the Construction Manager and coordinating with crews to uphold best-in-class safety practices.

The role involves conducting daily inspections, developing site safety plans, investigating incidents, delivering toolbox talks, and maintaining records for audits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in construction safety management.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, ANSI standards, and construction safety best practices.
• Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety training sessions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse crews and report to the Construction Manager.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently as a third-party overseer while collaborating with the project team.
• Experience on industrial construction projects preferred.
• Familiarity with Colorado safety regulations is preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Background check, drug screening, and physical exam are required.
• Approval by Client Representative.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily safety inspections and audits at the construction site to identify hazards and non-compliance with standards.
• Provide independent, third-party oversight of construction crews ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific safety plans in coordination with the Construction Manager.
• Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents; prepare reports with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and orientations to construction crews.
• Monitor the use and maintenance of PPE, safety signage, and emergency resources.
• Collaborate with the Construction Manager to address safety concerns and enforce accountability.
• Maintain records of inspections, incidents, training, and compliance documentation for audits.
• Serve as the primary safety contact for crews, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Stay current on industry safety trends, regulations, and best practices.
• Acknowledge and participate in OMS H&S programs and trainings.
• Other duties as assigned by OMS or the client.
