Qualifications

• Experience working with an electrical contractor on data center construction preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and safety management practices.
• Hands-on safety management experience and field interaction required.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with regulations, laws, standards, policies, and procedures.
• Provide technical expertise to managers and supervisors to control hazards and unsafe behaviors.
• Plan and conduct periodic and unscheduled surveys and inspections on projects.
• Conduct hazard analyses of project operations.
• Assist in updating and maintaining the safety manual.
• Develop and conduct risk assessments and Job Task Analyses.
• Coordinate safety training with operating activities to raise safety awareness.
• Ensure safe placement and job assignment of personnel.
• Assist in maintaining accident records and investigations.
• Foster a team environment when advising on safety corrections.

The ideal candidate would have previous experience working with an electrical contractor on a data center construction project.

The Site Safety Manager reports to the Senior Safety Manager.

Responsibilities are focused on maintaining the safest possible workplace and OSHA Compliance. The Safety Manager will be hands-on and interact with our field personnel and management team daily.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, standards, policies, and/or procedures.
• Provides technical expertise to managers and supervisors in establishing techniques and procedures for the elimination or control of unsafe behaviors, environments, and hazards.
• Plans and conducts periodic and unscheduled surveys and inspections of Miller Electric Company projects.
• Conduct hazard analyses of project operations
• Assist in the update and maintenance of the company safety manual
• Develop and conduct risk assessments and Job Task Analyses for relevant tasks
• Coordinates with operating activities to provide safety training and ensures safety awareness throughout Miller Electric Company.
• Work with personnel to assure safe placement and job assignment
• Assist in the maintenance of accident record keeping
• Provide technical assistance with the investigation of accidents, incidents, injuries, and/or illnesses.
• Foster a team environment when advising on needed corrections
• Performs other duties as assigned
